Jon Dean, a partner in Sidley Austin’s Los Angeles office, is a seasoned trial lawyer and former prosecutor with a practice focused on high-stakes, complex commercial litigation. His experience spans a broad range of matters, including patent and trade secret disputes, antitrust and securities actions, unfair competition and trademark claims, as well as employment, OSHA, and healthcare litigation.

A proven advocate in both civil and criminal courts, Dean also represents companies and individuals in government investigations led by agencies such as the US Department of Justice, the Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General. Dean also leads the Sidley team representing Airbnb in several complex litigation matters.
