Serving as professor of medicine and preventive medicine and as the J. Terence chair of cancer research for Keck Medicine of USC, Heinz-Josef Lenz, MD has won many prestigious awards for his practice and research. Dr. Lenz considers it a pleasure working at USC with one of the most diverse patient populations in the US. As associate director of clinical science and co-leader of the Translational Science Program, he has worked closely with the Community Outreach Program to increase accrual of minorities at USC. His research focus is on diseases in Keck Medicine’s catchment area particular colon cancers.
