Dr. Gevorg Mutafyan, a surgeon affiliated with the California Surgical Multi-Specialty group, is the only robotically trained bariatric and general surgeon whose expertise is well regarded by his peers throughout the medical community. Dr. Mutafyan has also fellowship trained with world famous bariatric experts at Duke University Medical Center. Her has performed many of the most difficult revisional surgeries including complicated re-do Roux-en-Y gastric bypass, vertical sleeve gastrectomy, and adjustable gastric banding (Lap-Band, Realize) procedures. He is also the author of many peer-reviewed scientific journals. Dr. Mutafyan has volunteered and participated in life-saving medical mission trips to Armenia.
