Paul de Bernier is the office practice leader in Los Angeles for Mayer Brown’s Corporate & Securities practice, co-chair of the firm’s India practice, US contact for its media/entertainment practice and an active member of its East Asia and Healthcare/Life Sciences practices.

Upon law school graduation in 1999, de Bernier joined Mayer Brown’s LA office as one of the early members of the firm’s LA corporate practice. He relocated to the London office in 2004, where he worked on US M&A matters and in turn led the firm’s US Desk in London (doing US/cross-border M&A and capital markets). In 2011, he returned to the LA office to expand the California corporate practice, cross-border capabilities, client roster and bottom line. His broad M&A and securities practice includes working on dozens of innovative and complex deals, involving multiple jurisdictions and in evolving and emerging areas, including tech, media/entertainment and ESG.
