STEPHANIE HSIEH

Executive Director, L.A. Office Biocom

Former biotech executive Hsieh was appointed in September 2020 to head the new Los Angeles office of Biocom, a San Diego-based bioscience industry resource and statewide advocacy organization. Her mission: to advocate for policies to grow the L.A. life sciences industry, to pull in more investment and grant funding, and to match local bioscience companies with investors and other funding sources. The organization now has more than 1,500 member companies and organizations. Prior to joining Biocom, Hsieh was chief executive of Meditope Biosciences, an early-stage biotechnology company based in Pasadena. Previously, she held several senior management roles at local bioscience companies. Hsieh began her career as a patent litigator.
