Leiweke unveiled plans in March to build a $3 billion entertainment district with an arena, hotel and casino in the Las Vegas area, which is bouncing back from pandemic doldrums. In November, Oak View Group acquired Spectra, a venue management and hospitality provider. Oak View is an entertainment and sportsfacilities manager handling arenas ranging from Climate Pledge Arena (18,600 seats) in Seattle to UBS Arena (18,000 seats) outside of New York City, plus convention centers and multi-purpose facilities. It was founded in 2015 by Leiweke and Hollywood personal manager Irving Azoff, who were onetime rivals in the concert world.
