JULIE MILLER-PHIPPS

President Kaiser Permanente Southern California Region, Kaiser Foundation Health Plan & Hospitals Since July 2016, Miller-Phipps has been Kaiser Permanente’s top executive for Southern California. She oversees nearly 76,000 employees who collaborate with 7,880 Permanente Medical Group physicians to deliver care to roughly 4.8 million members through 15 hospitals and 236 medical offices in Southern California. In July, Kaiser Permanente laid out details of its planned expansion of its flagship Los Angeles Medical Center in East Hollywood. In late 2020, Miller-Phipps added Hawaii to her geographic portfolio; Kaiser serves another 265,000 members in that state. Prior to her current role, Miller-Phipps was president of Kaiser Permanente Georgia and before that, she was senior vice president and executive director for Kaiser’s Orange County service area.
