Boehly, who has an ownership stake in the Los Angeles Dodgers, led a $5 billion effort this year to buy the famed English soccer team Chelsea Football Club after the Russian oligarch who owned the club was ousted. Boehly’s Eldridge Industries is a private equity firm that operates a portfolio of businesses across several industries, including media, sports, real estate and hospitality. Founded in 2015 by Boehly and Anthony D. Minella, its portfolio companies include A24, Rolling Stone and Dataminr.
