President California Fashion Association

Metchek was born in Germany and created the nonprofit California Fashion Association in 1995, in partnership with apparel manufacturers and leaders in the finance sector and other industries. She served as executive director of the California Market Center and president of clothing brand White Stag Inc. while it was a division of garment manufacturer Warnaco Group Inc. Metchek is on the board of the Los Angeles Economic Development Corp. and sits on the advisory boards of Santa Monica and Fullerton Colleges. She is also the executive director of California Fashion Foundation.
