Matthai is a trial lawyer with more than 30 years of experience, specializing in the representation of attorneys in malpractice actions action and the representation of judges in disciplinary matters. Over last year she has been engaged in several highprofile matters including representations related the 2018 Lion Air plane crash, Los Angeles Department of Water and Power issues and delays in the Third District Court of Appeal. Since 2013, she has served on American Business Bank’s board. She was formerly a member of the American Bar Association Standing Committee on the Federal Judiciary. She obtained her JD from UC Hastings College of Law.
