Mezger joined KB Homes in 1993 and helped develop the homebuilding company’s focus on energy-efficient and environmentally conscious designs. In March, the company reported total revenues increased year over year by 23% to $1.4 billion. The firm was also recently named to Newsweek’s list of America’s most trusted companies and Fortune’s list of most admired companies. A graduate of DePauw University, Mezger served 10 years as president of the Central California division of U.S. Home before joining KB Home. Mezger was the founding chairman of the Leading Builders of America. He was inducted into the California Homebuilding Hall of Fame in 2012.
