The Los Angeles County Economic Development Corp. regularly informs local leadership and the general public on various issues regarding local and regional industries, occupations and communities. Allen, the organization’s longtime leader, assembled through LAEDC and Unite-LA a large and diverse coalition of public and private stakeholders known as the L.A. Digital Equity Action League to help close the digital divide in Los Angeles and drive an inclusive economic recovery. Earlier in his career, when he was president of MTM Television, Allen helped start the Valley Economic Alliance, where he is still a vice chairman, in response to the 1994 Northridge earthquake.
