MARTIN ADAMS
General Manager & Chief Engineer Los Angeles Department of Water and Power
Adams has served as general manager and chief engineer of the LADWP since 2019. He is a 36-year veteran of the department. He led the LADWP, the nation’s largest municipal utility, during a challenging period of the Covid-19 pandemic. The utility kept power and water flowing for residents and businesses while ensuring the health and safety of its essential workers and customers. A civil engineer by training, Adams is a native of Glendale and attended Loyola Marymount University. He also is chairman of the San Fernando Community Health Center and sits on a number of utility industry boards.
