In 2021, Moelis & Co. reported record adjusted revenues of $1.5 billion compared to $943.3 million in the prior year period. The firm’s business model comprising M&A, restructuring and a capital markets group allowed it to remain one of the largest investment banks in L.A. Moelis founded the firm in 2007 and led its public debut in 2014. It is a global independent investment bank with deal sizes ranging from $100 million to $160 billion. Prior to Moelis & Co., Moelis was president of UBS Investment Bank. He serves on boards for the University of Pennsylvania and the Wharton School.
