In January, Menai was appointed to the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco’s Community Depository Institutions Advisory Council. He has served on the FDIC’s Subcommittee on Supervision Modernization, where he helped federal agencies retool to address a new breed of hybrid fintech and banking structures. Menai oversees the bank’s U.S. operations including its commercial, industrial and commercial real estate lending groups, and also serves as deputy head of international business for CTBC’s Asia-based parent bank. Previously, he served as president and chief executive of Charles Schwab Bank and as a managing director at Citigroup’s Global Corporate Investment Bank.
