LACHLAN MURDOCH

Co-chairman, News Corp. Executive Chair & Chief Executive, Fox Corp.

After offloading the Fox’s major studio operations to the Walt Disney Co. three years ago, Murdoch sits atop the slimmeddown Fox TV broadcasting and cable news company and separately the News Corp. publications and books including the Wall Street Journal. He is heir apparent to his 91-year-old conservative father and there’s speculation on how his personal outlook might eventually influence news operations. At Fox, Murdoch navigated a later-stage entry into video streaming two years ago buying Tubi, the free-to-consumers ad-supported service that now thrives. In December, Fox bought indie Mar Vista Entertainment to supply content to Tubi and also makes small venture-capital-like investments in digital media.
