Entrepreneur and businesswoman Salinas in 2018 became the first woman and first Latina to lead the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce in its 132year history. The Chamber is the largest business association in Los Angeles County, representing more than 235,000 businesses. Among other duties, she oversees the chamber’s initiative, A Thriving Region for All, which seeks to amplify the voice of businesses while encouraging an inclusive economy. Salinas is part of Gov. Gavin Newsom’s Commission on the Future of Work and was named to his Business and Jobs Recovery Task Force. She was appointed to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Committee of 100.
